The youth hostel near Nice where we did not stay the night because they were full. :-( It was extraordinarily beautiful here, overlooking the Mediterranean. After getting turned away here, we spent a couple of hours walking around Nice (carrying bags) failing to find a hotel. Unfortunately both the Grand Prix at Monaco and the Cannes film festival were going on at about the same time, so we ended up taking a late evening train back to Marseille and finding whatever we could for a hotel.
